From Vancouver:
Head north on Georgia Street through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge, onto Marine Drive WEST (left lane). Turn right on Taylor Way, left at Highway 1 (heading West). Follow Highway 1 to Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal (exit clearly signed), look for a toll booth for Langdale or Sunshine Coast. Ferry runs approximately every 2 hours on the odd half hours (e.g. 7:20am, 9:20am, etc.), for full schedule and fares see www.bcferries.com. Note: fare from Horseshoe Bay is round-trip; you don't pay when heading back to Vancouver.
Sailing time is 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Langdale, follow the main traffic straight at the first lights, left on Stewart, right on North Road into Upper Gibsons. Turn right at Gibsons Way (Highway 101) and stay on the highway through Roberts Creek, Wilson Creek to Sechelt. At Sechelt follow signs to stay on the main route turning left onto Wharf Road, curving right onto Teredo Street/Highway 101. Stay on the highway for approximately 20km. Not long after passing the sign for Halfmoon Bay General Store, turn left onto Brooks Road. Follow Brooks a few kilometres to Wescan Road on your right. Turtle Rock Retreat is the first house you'll see on your left, after approx 1km.
From Powell River:
Head south to Saltery Bay ferry terminal and take the ferry to Earl's Cove. Ferry runs approximately every 2 hours on the odd half hours (e.g. 5:35am, 7:25am, etc.); for full schedule and fares see www.bcferries.com. Sailing time is 50 minutes and the fare is round-trip. Upon disembarking in Earl's Cove, follow Highway 101 south past Madeira Park / Pender Harbour towards Halfmoon Bay. A few kilometres past Mercer Road, look for Brooks Road on your right at the bottom of a long downhill. Follow Brooks a few kilometres to Wescan Road on your right. Turtle Rock Retreat is the first house you'll see on your left, after approx 1km.
